Safeguarding awareness week

2022 National Safeguarding Adults Week - 21st - 27th November 2022

This year London SABs have come together to provide a range of FREE online learning events to raise awareness of key safeguarding issues, start conversations and share best practice across the region.

The following topics are covered during the week:

  • Transitional Safeguarding: Learning from Adults & Children Reviews
  • Combating Closed Cultures
  • Safeguarding Adults with Mental Health Needs
  • Learning from SARs: Autism, Suicide and Safeguarding
  • Self-neglect: applying s42 & risk assessment

London ADASS conference and luncheon events: 

The main conference on Wednesday 23rd November and 4 luncheons on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will feature a number of safeguarding experts and people with lived experience. Delivering a series of insightful and informative presentations, addressing some of the most concerning issues surrounding safeguarding and will highlight examples of good practice, emerging Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR’s) observations on good and poor practice and the recommendations they make.


Luncheons will include a Question & Answer session which will allow delegates to have their say and contribute to the discussions.
